Eric and Claudine Gakunzi are reaching refugees in the Dutchtown community of South St. Louis. Being Congolese refugees themselves they understand the challenges that come with being transplanted into a new world. Through loving and serving they are bringing many to a new hope in Jesus when the world’s religions have let them down.
JoAnn Axe is the director of Good Samaritan Ministries of East St. Louis. You will most often find JoAnn and anyone she can recruit, in the streets taking care of the people that society wishes would go away. Whether they need food, clothes, help with a job search, or other tangible needs they are always touched with the love of Jesus and encouragement from His word.
