  • To create a more focused and distraction-free environment during the F2 retreat, we encourage parents to consider leaving their child's cell phones and smart watches at home. While not strictly prohibited, we believe this will enhance the retreat experience for both students and leaders. Should parents need to contact their child, they can always reach out to their student's life group leader. To ensure a restful night's sleep for everyone, students will be required to leave their phones in a designated common area at the host home during lights out. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following this policy.

  • Someone on staff will call the phone number you provided when you registered your student. We will provide you with a main staff contact for F2 Weekend the week of the event, along with additional information about the weekend. You will also have the contact phone number of your student’s host home parent and you will give them yours at check-in.

  • Yes. We will have an EMT present during the main sessions. If your student requires medication during the event, please communicate with their group leaders at check-in.

  • Yes. Just like any other student programming on our campus, there will be a St. Charles Police Officer present along with a mix of staff and volunteer security team members.

  • Please indicate any allergies in your student’s registration. We will do our best to accommodate your student’s food allergy throughout the weekend.

  • Drivers must be over the age of 25 to transport students (HCC insurance requirement). For any leader who is not over the age of 25 (or doesn’t have a vehicle to fit all the students in their life group) we then reach out to parents of that small group. Often the host home helps but its great when other parents help since the host home already has taken on a big responsibility. No students will ever be in a vehicle with a parent (that isn’t their own) by themselves. Students will always be with at least one other student of the same gender that they know or are in a small group with.

    • Sleeping bag and pillow

    • Toiletries (deodorant, shampoo, toothbrush, etc.)

    • Bath towel

    • Bible, notebook, pen

  • Yes! If you are interested in helping, email Marcia at mvisnack@harvester.cc. There is also a spot to indicate you are interested in helping within the F2 Registration.

    Things we need help with:

    • Being a host home for you student’s small group

    • Help transporting students to/from host home/church/service project

    • Helping pick up/drop off food (Friday dinner/Saturday Lunch)

    • Helping prep for the weekend.

    • Helping during the event itself (check in/clean up/merch sales ect)

Everything you want to know about Host Homes

  • Students will be staying in host homes with their small group Friday night. You will receive an email the week of F2 with the address and contact info of the host home for your student’s small group.

  • Host homes are in the home of and hosted by a parent(s) of one of the students in your student’s small group. The parent(s) are background checked and typically are known/involved families in the church. Many of our host homes have hosted in the past and anyone who wishes to host for the first time has a home visit from our MS Pastor before given a yes to host.

  • No. When registering you can indicate whether your student will be staying at their host home with their small group or not.
